• Experienced RNs: Full-time weekend program positions available for nurses with 1+ years of experience
• Shifts: Eligible participants must work 48 weekends per year, 24 hours per weekend (either two 12-hour shifts or three 8-hour shifts per weekend) between the hours of Friday 3PM and Monday 7AM.

About UPMC Shadyside 2 Pavilion/South:

Shadyside 2 Pavilion and 2 South are fast-paced hematology/oncology units that are advancing cancer care. Nurses in these units specialize in centralizing the care of medically managed patients who have received chemotherapy treatments. Ongoing education is valued, supported, and encouraged on 2 Pavilion and 2 South, making it a great unit for both graduate and experienced nurses seeking to expand their clinical knowledge.

• Four years of RN experience required.
• An Associates Degree in Nursing, BSN, or MSN is required.

• Establish and maintain positive, caring relationships with patients and their families, executives, managers, physicians, non-physician providers, ancillary and support staff, and other departments.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• ACLS within 12 months of hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• CPR is required based on AHA standards that include both didactic and skills demonstration within 30 days of hire.
• Registered Nurse (RN)
• Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state.
• Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
• UPMC-approved national certification preferred.
